Create a Site with HTML
HTML Editors
An HTML editor is a tool that is used to create a web page using HTML code. There are different types including WYSIWYG , online and conventional versions.
Online HTML editors are usually WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) types which allow you to create your own web pages without actually learning to code. These types of editors are usually included in a monthly web hosting package.
WYSIWYG editors include drag and drop features for moving text blocks and images around on a page without coding.
WYSIWYG editors have improved a lot in the last 10 years and some of the better ones produce some impressive websites.
There is a very good free WYSIWYG editor that you can download and use on your PC or Mac. Get More Details...
Conventional HTML editors provide web authors with a lot more flexibility and control over their web site.
With a conventional HTML editor you can build your website right on your PC, test it and then when it is finished use a built in FTP function to upload the site to your web space on the internet.
Most of these website builders provide the luxury of just clicking a button to add a block of code to the web page.
Most of the good ones provide built in tutorials for learning to build and manage web pages.
We recommend the freeware HTML editor NoteTab Light
You can also download my own personal HTML editor, Webbuilder. It requires no installation, just unzip and start using it. (Windows 98, XP and Vista) More Info...
